Welcome to my blog! My name is Lindsay Gimlin and I am currently teaching 2nd grade in Western NY. I'm a typical Type A teacher. I love organizing, making lists, and having a plan. Getting new school supplies always brings me pure joy!Ever since I embarked my journey of learning, I have never stopped! I truly have a strong passion for teaching. I love interacting with my students, hearing their thinking, and watching them grow.
Finding a teaching job in NY is extremely difficult. Therefore, I am very thankful to have finally landed a full time job after subbing for 5 years. I am certified in Early Childhood and Childhood Education, Special Education in both areas, and Childhood Literacy.
Keeping a balance between school and my personal life has always been a priority. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, DIY projects, working out, and indulging in anything chocolate. My husband and I have a dog named Stella. Stella is a Havanese and is extremely spoiled by everyone! You can find her wearing stylish clothes, stealing socks when it is laundry day, and snuggling up in soft blankets. Listening isn't one of her strongest qualities, but she is SO cute!
